I have been researching something similiar---i read that you need to be in france for a certain number of years under your circumstance. One spot said five years another said fewer years. I guess none of us wants to call the embassy and try to ask in english how to become a french citizen. I am trying to find out if my parent being born in france and being a citizen of france (as stated on my birth certificate) will allow me to apply for french citizenship. By family (blood), by marriage, by location (being in france), are the three ways to become a citizen. I found one site that said you come to relocate in france with no family ties you can do it with money in a bank account, proof of income, years in france without dependence on the french government.
