    L1B to green card
    Hello

I have been working in US on L1B visa for close to 2 and 1/2 yrs now. My company is planning to extend my L1B to another term of 2 yrs, which would make my total time on L1B 5yrs.

When should my company ideally file my green card application?

If my company applies for my GC, and I complete my 5 yrs on L1B in US, do I need to leave the country or continue if my company has filed for my GC?

Can you please answer my queries?

    Thanking you

    Regards
    Rahul

Answer: If you will not have EAD done by the time your L1B extension is over, you have to leave the US.
