    Can lower abdominal trauma cause breaking of the hymen and thus to bleed?

    Riding a bike, gymnastics, riding a horse, inserting a tampon, sports, etc can all cause your hymen to break and ultimately to bleed. Sex is not necessrily needed. If you are trying to determine virginity, the hymen is no way to go about it.
