    Hair disaster
    HI,

My girlfriend recently got her hair Stripped and streaked by a student and now her scalp is burnt and her hair is yellow. I need to try to help her repair it and I know she needs a toner, I'm just reluctant to do anything before her scalp heals. Will a toner burn it more.. and how long should we wait?

    Thank you

It's call a Double Process. The active ingredient in the bleaching process is peroxide. Peroxide comes in different strengths "volumes". The salons rarely use peroxide over forty volume because is can cause damage to the hair as well as the scalp. I really don't know the strength of peroxide your friend used, or what shade she was trying to achieve. But if her scalp was burned during the process, then she should go see a physician immediately. I do not recommend using any hair dyes until the scalp is completely healed. When her scalp is healed, it's extremely important that you apply a conditioning treatment a week before you add the toner. Once her hair looks healthy you can deposit the toner. Be sure to use a neutral color that compliments her skin tone.

    Oh no
I just got really blonde highlights, and I hate them. They look so weird on me, and I wanted them to be subltle, but they are so not. What do I do?

If you don't like the highlights you've received the your salon, you have to tell your hairstylist. The stylist must fix it if your not happy with it.

Medium dark blonde highlights would look good on Brunettes. Stylists will know that a color with ash or violet will cool down yellow highlights.

The scalp usually heals pretty fast... but I would wait a week before putting any more chemicals on it.
