Ex moved and wants to change schools
Let me start by saying I have joint legal and physical custody with my ex. A couple of days ago my ex tells my she is going to move in with her boyfriend to a city 30 miles away and the boys will now be going to school by her new location. What would be a proper way to stop this from happening? Her reasoning was that the boys won't have to go to before or after care at that school. Which is nice and all, but now I would be driving the boys 30 miles north to school 2-3 times a week and I work 20 miles south of my house. Seems a little unreasonable to me. Last year she moved in with her dad 15 miles east of me and wanted the kids to go to school by her then. Which I agreed to since they provided a better Kindergarten program than the one by my house. Am I making too big of a deal out of this? It seems like a bad idea to be constantly changing schools for the kids.

I am a teacher and I agree that constantly changing schools is not good for any young person. File a motion with the court and ask the judge to order that the boys not change schools. That'll require them to continue to reside in their present school district. If it prevents your ex from making this move, then so be it. Emphasize to the judge your reservations about their constantly having to change schools when there is no compelling reason for your ex to keep making these moves.
