    Depressed dog
I have had my dog for about 2 years, he is a labrador crossed with a staff, and is usually a happy dog. Recently my little bro bought a kitten, since the kitten has been in the house, the dog seems sort of depressed. I know it sounds stupid, but when I look at his, he just looks really sad. I've given him his usual amount of attention, in an attempt to make him not feel pushed out, but it doesn't work. Any advice?

A top dog, or the top doog's little bro have the right to bring a kitten into the den. The rest of the pack need to get over it. The dogs see all the
People and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in
The pack and a top dog. Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members
Outrank the 4 legged ones. You can learn to play the role of top dog by
Reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class
Or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with
A treat. Start at http://www.dogsbestfriend.com/. The obedience training will be a good way of making sure he is getting the attention he needs.
