    The function key
    I have an IBM Thinkpad. When I press the "i" key the #5 appears. How can I stop this so when I press the "i" key the letter "i" will type?

    You enabled number lock. Maybe look in "Help and support" should have info for your laptop. I will see if I can find Combination. May be Fn+F?
