I heard and read that taking Glutathione somehow whitens skin. But what side-effects known will one experince by taking it?

Hi hope you can help me I am using this product in a soap format which contains glutathione and alpha arbutin is it safe to use to wash your face with and contact with the eyes? Kojic is another ingredient in the body soap please let me know. Thank you xxx
