Has anyone heard this mystery pop/rock song?
It sounds like a late 90's rock/pop song, but it might be in the 2000's. Reminds me of the style of bittersweet symphony by the verve. Now this is tricky.. the only words I remember (and these may not be in order or the right words but they ryme or go together) are: ..blue skys turn to green.. or ..blueish sky turns to green..I remember an upbeat tempo, maybe sort of shoegaze style rock?? If this rings a bell tell cause I'm stumped and been looking for a looong time!

Maybe it is the following song? From the site: The Elvis Costello Home Page

    Just a guess.

    When Green Eyes Turn Blue
    Every single time
    It becomes too much
    There's nothing I can say
    Or I can touch
But the glory is, as it comes passing through,
I know I will be there
    When green eyes turn blue

    It's the same for me
    Time appears to teach
There is nothing quite beyond our reach
    Wits may sharpen up
    Their cuts and clever flays
Let them squander all of them
You brighten up my darkest gaze

And as a consequence I can see out of the gloom
    That I gathered about myself
That I thought would flatter me
What the hell was the matter with me

Every single time I approached despair
I thought of your name and you were there
    I won't burden you
    As promises will do
But I know I will be there
    When green eyes turn blue.

Thanks, but no. its more upbeat, pop rock sound. It plays on the rock stations... but only rarely and that's only where I hear it

Those are the only words I could pick out, and they might not be right. Im pretty sure there not part of the chorus. I've googled the heck outa it and.. nothing is right. Its not rap, hot heavy metal, it's a guy singing. If you've heard the Primitive Radio God's song called 'standing outside a broken phonebooth with money in my hand'.. that's what reminds me of it, for whatever reason.
