Am wondering if the film on the inside of an egg shell will promote healing if applied under a bandage?

It'd be helpful to know when this started and if you're having any other symptoms.

Without knowing more, I'll tell you that in my profession, it's commonly seen when people fail to thoroughly rinse and dry their hands after washing, or don latex gloves when their hands are damp.

You might try using something like eucerin cream. Whatever you get, avoid anything with petroleum products (you may see "petrolatum" listed in the ingredients. Petroleum-based products draw oils/moisture from the skin,

Have you seen a dermatologist? Like jmte stated, without knowing more than what you stated, one cannot do more. Eucerin cream is a very good cream. I use it on my youngest son's hands and feet. Eucerin was the only cream my pediatrician said was worth the money.

But check with your doctor. You may have some underlying condition causing the cracking. One never knows.
