Yes the fan runs and I put a new dual capacitor on it but the compressor will still hum for about 5 seconds and kick off there is a start assist capacitor I still haven't changed it has a common wire and a HEMM wire coming off it

The start assist relay and capacitor could be bad. Or the compressor could be locked up. Is the compressor hot to the touch?

In all reality you probably are looking at replacing the compressor in the near future, try new start componets first. Good luck, Mike
