    Nursing Cat
Hi I have a nursing cat the kittens were born on Monday its now Thursday - Is it OK for the mummy cat to go outside for a while now - the kittens are upstairs & she has only been down 4 times since they were born. However tonight she was scratching to be let out is it OK to let her. Sorry if this sounds stupid but she was a rescue cat & none of my others have had kittens before so I am unsure on what is OK.

My cat has been nursing 5 weeks. The kittens are now gone. The cats nipples are still producing and are very swollen. Is this normal and if so when will this subside. Is there anything I should be aware of?
