Myself and my partner were getting on great he was even on about marriage, but his dad died not so long ago and left him a fair bit of money, and that's when he got worried that if he brought a house for us, sometime later on down the road If we split I would try and take half of the money.
I tried and tried to explain to him that when I met him he didn't have any money and that if any thing did happen that it was his money not mine and I wouldn't try and get half of it.
Quiet a while ago we split up and I made a friend on the internet it was a woman and I used to talk to her, that's when she introduced me to her husband, she thought it might help getting a mans point of view across for me to understand.
Anyway other the next view months they went through a break up and I was there for both of them and became very good friends to both of them, but this was just over the internet as they were living in a different country to me.
Whilst I have having a conversation with the husband he had said to me " i wish my wife could have tryed as hard as you to make the relationship work" that's when he said " if you and your partner every split up give me a call"
I never spoke to him after that.
I know he was very well off, while I was trying to convince my own partner I didn't want him for his money, I said to him if it was money I was after I could go else where.
He now thinks I that I was having some sort of affair with this man because he can't understand why he said that to me if we wernt. I have tried to explain to him that I thought we were just friends and that I no lnoger speak to him as in my eyes he crossed the line.
My partner won't speak to me any more and said he never wants to see me again.
I do love him very much and I have never been unfaithful to him and I have never been dishonest to him, how on earth can I put this right

That's how most guys think, tell him if he thinks its about money that you will sign a pre-nup... that don't work then maybe you are better off without him
