Yes, unless he has obtained a divorce somehow and you didn't get notice somehow. Marriages don't expire on their own.

Perhaps it's a language problem, but I didn't understand you to say that there was ever a divorce. Where were you married? Was that marriage ended by court decree of divorce?

As far as I know he re remarried, I asked him how was that possible without me knowing and he said because he was actively seeking me here in the uk a number of times over the 12 years he was allowed 2 marrry again, I don't know if that's possible.

We were married in the uk, I then found out he didn't have a passport and he said there was final appointments with his solicitor we haddnt yet attended so he was allowed to be deported,

You are still married, unless he can provide you a copy of the divorce, you are married, so he married someone else, that marriage may not be valid if he did not get a divorce. Or he is in a area that allows him to have two wives.

So file for divorce, have no idea why you did not already get one

So, all of a sudden you have gotten back in contact. Have you moved around since he left?

If he has remarried, then somehow he got the marriage ended. He needs to provide you copies of that paperwork so you can prove your marriage has ended.

Of course its possible he's lying and he's a bigamist. Not sure of Pakistan laws in this regard. But I would consult a solicitor.
