    Visa
I am a U.S. citizen and I am currently in Germany for 90 days. Can I visit England and return back to Germany or do I need a visa? I know england is not a schengen country.

I don't think the schengen ruling is upheld too much nowadays. Day travellers do what you want to do quite often without a visa.

If you don't have any felony record, you can enter UK on visa waiver program for 90 days, but returning to Germany after staying there for 3 months may be a red flag, prepare to answer to immigration officers.

Why a red flag? I would only be in England for a week and then return back to Germany.

For that short a time, Marty, I wouldn't worry about a red flag. Just go and enjoy your holiday.

If you are only going to be in UK for a week, I guess you can forget about the red flag for 3 months stay.
