Yes, a 17 has no business dating a 13 year old. I would hope or assume he had no idea of your age.

Does he know you are 13?
He has no business with you, asking for your number was completely inappropriate.
    Your parents are right.

I hope you know if you take this any further you could get into trouble. As for the boy he could be worse trouble. Dating a 13 year old is illegal.

Well you're not older and this is not the end of the world.
This relationship could have been the source of real pain. This guy had to know he had no business asking for your number.
Thank GOD for your parents and listen to them.

You think that now, but time will pass and you'll find yourself saying someday; Gosh I wish I were thirteen again. Trust me. When you're old enough to date you'll find it's more fun to have a boyfriend your own age. Hope you follow our advice and please, enjoy being young.:)

One of the things that bothers me here is that you met at a bible school. On one hand a 17 yr old who goes to a bible school should be more trustworthy. On the other hand a 17 yr old who goes to bible school should know better. Also guys have been using the line; "I'm going into the military soon" since there were militaries. So a lot about this boy makes me suspicious.

And this is a perfect example about why 13 yr olds shouldn't date. I just mentioned two red flags that should have made you suspicious of him. Yet, because of your inexperience, you didn't pick up on these warning signals.

You I get were your coming from but my older cousin knows his family and yaa and I know he's going into the military because he's doing it for his brother that died in the military so you and that's why I wasn't suspicous. But still I get the whole age difference thing

Hi OP I know you must be thinking life sucks, however it won't be like it is forever, maybe in say a year or so then your parents will agree to you going on dates, and you can help with this happening, how, by always getting home on time, keeping your grades good, Helping your Mom and doing your chores and stuff with out her having to keep asking you, or to shout to get you to take notice.

You might think Ive lost the plot I haven't, Im being sincere here if you want your parents to allow you to do something, then if you show them how grown up and helpful you are that you're not going to get mouthy with them or start having battles with them, that in turn will show to them that you aren't still a baby after all, and just perhaps you can be trusted to go out on a date, maybe not with this 17 yr old boy, but others nearer your age.

Parents don't want to keep their kids locked up or in their sight at all times but most teens at some time start talking badly to their parents, refuse to do their chores, homework, be home on time, and all other stuff they've been asked to do, so they end up battling with the parents, and lose all privileges and extras, like being given trust to go on a date, and stuff like this. The way to gain all those privileges is to show them that you're growing up and into a sensible girl. Try it. You've nothing to lose. And much much to gain.

    Good Luck.
