I think you should explore why you like being alone. If it's fear of being in relationships, or you have a hard time socializing or you feel like an outcast, I think you should get some counseling and deal with overcoming those issues.

I know it's strange but I don't think you can be confident that a solitary life is a good choice unless you know what it is to have close relationships with other people. Your comments that you have trouble paying attention and that you don't understand yourself raise questions in my mind that you may be depressed. My feeling is that it's hard to make any kind of good decisions when you're depressed.

You can do as you wish with your own life, however you would miss out on the experience of life and what it has to offer.

Many people choose to spend time alone,happy in their own company, glad of personal space without being disturbed.This usually comes after a hard days work away from the hussle and bussle of the work place.

Quiet time and days off is what keeps you going throughout the working week.

It's the same at school, pupils look foreword to their weekends, planning what they intend to do, whether it be quiet time alone or time with friends and family.

We all like our own space,if we were alone constantly then all days would be the same,nothing to look foreword to, or plan for.

We'd soon get bored with no outside input.

Sometimes we feel we need to be alone because something bothers us... can't find an answer to our problem.This is the time where outside input can help,everyone has a different outlook on life,talking to people will definitely offer some kind of solution to our problems,giving us the opportunity to solve what is bothering us.
