If you have black holes you should see a dentist. If you smoke, you should quit as this stains your teeth and causes you to loose the bone that supports your teeth which will make your teeth look long. I strongly recommend you make a dental appointment.

If you're having pain, you should definitely make an appt with your dentist ASAP. Pain is the first sign that something is seriously wrong. Black spots usually indicate decay. But as Flossie said, smoking as well as certain foods/drinks can stain your teeth.

Start with a professional cleaning and then develop a good routine. Brush twice a day and floss. Brushing at night is especially important to remove food particles and sugars from tooth surfaces that will just sit there and breakdown the enamel while you sleep. Flossing not only removes food and plaque between teeth, it also stimulates the gums and increases blood flow which makes for a healthy mouth!

    Hi flossie and nikosmom,

Thank you for your answer. I am a non-smoker. But I usually brush my teeth only once in the morning. I have been seeing the dentist for many time and reparing my teeth holes. But it last just one year at most. And my pain is not gone. May be I have to brush my teeth two times a day as you said and floss. I will try what you guys said because it's really good advice. Thank you for that and hope my pain and black holes gone so soon. :)

I brush my teeth 4 times a day. Only once isn't enough. You need to brush at least after every meal. Also visit your dentist at least every six months for maintenance.

I forget to post another problem too. I get blood when I brush my teeth, that's why I brush only once a day. And I would like to go to dentist, but it's too expensive here. :(

Bleeding gums are definitely a sign of infection. I'm not sure where you are but have you checked with local public health facilities? Many have dental plans for low-income individuals/families. You may be able to get dental treatment subsidized and pay either nothing or very little. Also if you have a dental school near you, you can get treatment there for a fraction of the cost of going to a private dentist. Often dental schools are a great way for people who can't otherwise afford much needed dental procedures.

In the meantime, brush with a soft toothbrush. These actually get tooth surfaces cleaner and are more gentle on sensitive gums. After you're done brushing your teeth, lightly massage your gums with the toothbrush; again this will increase blood flow and help gums begin to heal themselves. Brush your tongue too because lots of bacteria live on your tongue. Use an antiseptic mouthwash like Listerine which will help heal your gums and kill more of the harmful bacteria but by no means will mouthwash replace a visit to the dentist.

Try this and you should begin to see some improvement soon. Once you see improvement, you must keep up the routine- every single day!

Brush your teeth after every meal and in the mornings and at night.Soak your toothbrush in a small mouthwash cup full of Listerine, this will keep your teeth pretty clean.Use mouthwash, brush, and sometimes floss after every meal. And it would definitely go to a dentist.

Arr.. Thanks for that. I totally forget about the dentists in my school. My school has dental course. May be the teachers or students from there can help me out. I am student and just a part-time worker. So, my income is very low. I am from Australia. Dentistry is very expensive here. Anyway, thank you a lot. Have great day
