    Leak in shower pan base
I have a crack in my shower pan base... is there any way I can seal this without tearing out the whole shower?

Do you have plastic base shower pan or concrete and tile shower pan ? Do you have water leaking out of the pan ?

    But in the interim...

Plastic pan: I have seen people trying to repair cracked plastic pan but in most cases they never succeeded. Besides, the "weld" looked ugly. Maybe other Experts here will have different experiences to share.

Tile Base: If the crack is only in tile and/or concrete, you should be fine. The actual water proofing is the Liner or Asphalt coating under the concrete. In this case, you could simply grout the crack and not to worry about it. If the crack is too deep and includes the liner or the asphalt barrier, than you are in for shower pan replacement.
