I need to locate some old bank records.
I had an account at a bank years ago and I was out of commission for some years. The bank sold out to a larger bank that exist now. I need to locate records from 1985 to 1996 from a bank that was boughtout. Does the new bank have access to the old records

Yes, they should. However, it is likely that dormant accounts were turned over to the state long ago. So I would be more inclined to with the state's unclaimed property dept.
