    Sinus and ear infection?
I think I have a sinus infection, I just got over a cold and I have a lot of phlegm but my face really hurts and my nose feels heavy like it has fluid in it I have tried all of those things like hot showers, and inhaling Lavender oil but nothing works the phlegm is coming out but it still hurts so what can I do to help the pain except for tanking pain killers? An my ears hurt to, occasionally they pop and everything gets loud but then I go back to not being able to hear, I just cleaned my ears and I got really dizzy for a few min and then itchy so do I have an ear infection as well? This has been going on for 3 days so I think I need to see a doctor, thanks for your help and all of this has also really effected my sense of smell I can't smell anything at all oh and I don't like antibiotics much because I am intolerant

Phlegm is a sign of your body ridding bacteria. As you may have observed, there is a high concentration of water in phlegm. Other than replenishing water regularly, there is not much you can do but wait. I find most phlegm targeting medicine simply blocks your body from phlegm production altogether. Resulting in a congested feeling in your nasal cavity. So personally, I prefer taking none and wait it out.

Pain is most likely due to inflammation, which is common with colds and should subside as you mentioned that you have gotten over the cold already.
Popping ears often come with your fever. Since the ears conduct your balance, improper functioning leads to dizziness and nausea.

It seems that you are suffering the remnants of the cold. Again all I can suggest is drink hot water/tea to soothe your throat and promote metabolism washing out your system (pee a lot).

Despite my comments, please note the following.
Some symptoms, however common in your past experience, may not occur with the same cause.
And even with the same disease, finds different symptoms on different individuals.
In cases you are uncertain, please seek professional clinical help instead of attempting self-diagnosis over the world wide web.
