I believe could install NWLink IPX/SPX. It allow wins to communicate with netware and (mac?? ). I also hope you know many of the mac file format are different from wins, unless it is already...

You might want to check the setting on the router, especially DNS. Does your ISP specify a primary and/or second dns server? I am also assuming you have rebooted the server.

Disable NIC power management does not resolve the issue.
