According to some info that I have been reading, a hospital can turn me over to collections even if I am paying an agreed upon amount faithfully ever month.

She tripped and put her arm through HER front window, slitting her wrist. She went to the emergency room where they used flight for life to send her to another hospital (public) 300 miles away....

I was told once that a creditor has to accept a payment offered or drop the claim. Is this correct? Not credit cards. But an institution such as a hospital ?
