I have Windows 7. When I ran the Troubleshoot it told me that "The Audio Service Is Not Working"
Can someone help me get my audio working again please.
-
Yes-I'm thinking about searching for the relay or sequencer online as a process of elimination, hoping that will solve the problem.
-
Hi bitters. I realized the wire diagrams I sent to you earlier were the wrong ones. This diagram is from the "Heater Control Box" and maybe it might help you with my problem. Thanks again.
-
Okay. I have a meter and will do that, but I have replaced the stat so it's fairly new.
-
Thanks parttime! Try this bitters. (Attached below)

Appreciate your help bitters! The furnace have electric heat coils. I hope you can read these diagrams. 46608 46609

American Standard TWG025A140B1 I don't know if the 0's are O's or vise-versa.
-
Did not hear the AC kick on-definitely no fan. The AC cycles on and off normally. But the heat works only when on ON and not when on AUTO.
-
Thanks for the response. I turned off power to furnace and moved G wire to Y terminal, turned power back on to furnace and tried to cycle it on. Nothing.
-
My model # is TWGO25A140B1

I am working on an American Standard furnace that will not cycle off & on. It works only in the "On" position but the air conditioner cycles on & off fine. I have already replaced the thermostat.

No sir - no other outside receptacle, but I will keep looking for the GFI and keep you posted. Thanks.
-
Okay. I know the newer houses today have the GFI located on the outlets themselves. Where would the GFI be located on houses built in the early 80's?

The sound to my 52" box TV has gotten out-of-whack somehow. The sound is all bass and treble now. When you increase the volume it increases the bass and treble and has a deep and muffle sound. I have...

The wires are not in conduits. The bathroom plug has one set of wires going to it and the outside plug has two sets of wire going to it but I can't tell where the other set is leading to.
Could...

I did a voltage check between the hot of the extension cord to the neutral of the bath outlet and got 2 volts-the needle barely moved. From the hot of the extension...

Thanks for the info on the wires. Haven't had any time to work on it lately- I'm back on it now. The bathroom plug has only 3 wires: black, white, and a ground. But the outside plug has 5. A black...

Which wire is hot-the white or black" And what side of the female end of the extension cord is hot-the right side or the left?
-
When you talk about using the end of an extension cord to measure, is that still with the plug attached on the other end? I kind of got lost on that one.
Anyway this is what I came up with from...

Ok Harold I got my thinking cap on and understand what you are saying if the bathroom outlet is on a circuit by itself.
I will double check everything as you instructed and will reply.
It has been...

It definitely is not GFI, so it must have a broken wire-somewhere.
Thanks for your response.

I finally got my volt meter and the bathroom plug in question is showing no voltage at all. The other outlets are. Can you guys help me?
-
It is very strange to say the least. There's just the one bathroom with no GFCI on the plug. The house was built in the early 80's.
I will have to get a volt meter and I will check the breaker and...
-
I pulled the outlet away from the socket, tripped the breaker back on to test the wire connections to the screws of the outlet. Same result from the test-light.
-
No sir-this is not a GFI outlet.
-
My bathroom outlet is dead! When I use the test light (screwdriver type) in the other plugs in the house, it displays a solid light. But with this plug a light displays and instantly goes off.
The...

Contacting my ISP sounds like a good idea along with your other suggestions. To answer your first question, I have been able to connect with other wireless o.k. But this is the only 2Wire. Thanks.

Thanks BK201. I'll try that.

Thanks. Do you know where to find this router gateway on a laptop?

We keep getting this error: "Wireless Network Connection doesn't have a valid IP Configuration." Does anyone know what that mean and how can it be resolved? Thank you.

That's sort of what I thought. Thanks.
