Do you have a water softener? Is the sound happening when it regenerates? Most softeners are set to regenerate around that time.
-
Can you drain some water out of the water heater drain? Is it hot? Are you getting cold water out of the hot water taps or no water at all? Do you have the 100,000 BTU model with the readout screen...
-
I believe Glacier Bay is a Home Depot brand. Try there.
-
Are you getting water but its not hot or are you getting no water at all out of the hot side? No water at all would indicate a clog. Do you have a water softener? Is it only hooked up to the hot...
-
Is the diverter for the shower on the tub spout or is it a separate control? The diverter is the problem.
-
Is this a new situation? IF so you most likely need to replace the cartridge. Do you know the brand name of your faucet?
-
Are you on a well or city water system? If you are on a well watch your pressure gauge when the water is running and get back to us with more info
-
Are you going to put the new piece in underneath the subfloor and then use long screws to secure the new collar (flange). Yeah, that would work.
-
It is the valve under the handle
-
It doesn't sound promising, but can't say with certainty without seeing what you got. From the description it sounds like you will need to replace the closet flange
-
The thump is before the actual flush and fill cycle?
-
You are going to pay a lot more than 4 to 500 for a sewage ejector replacement. The company I work for is in the 6 to 700 range. That does include a new check valve as well.
-
Did you also change the rubber cups? And I strongly agree with Milo

Figure 36" for the tub, 30" for the toilet and that leaves enough room for a 30" vanity
-
Replace the thermocouple. Try that before replacing the heater. Thermocouples are cheap and easy to replace.
-
This question was on my daughters ACT test! LOL
-
Do you have a water softener? Whole House Filter? If so, bypass and check your pressure again. If no improvement, leave in bypass and remove an aerator from a faucet and try again. Orange beads in...

That's an easy replacement. You can get the part at any hardware store. I recommend changing the supply tube at the same time
-
Most likely you need to change your fill valves. On most toilets the Fluidmaster 400 is a good replacement. I also recommend a new supply tube at the same time.
-
The dapout box is going to be placed on the drain end of the tub and centered from side to side so that you have room to put in the tub waste and overflow(which is the drain that connects to the tub)...
-
I think you should really investigate where the water is coming from that is causing your ejector pump to run so often. The plumbing from the upper levels should not be going into the sewage ejector...
-
Are all the fixtures on the second floor affected or is it just one tub/shower valve? Two? How about the lav faucets? If it is just the tub valves then it could be as simple as a limiter on the valve...
-
You don't have to put the ptrap in before you pour the concrete because of the dap box. Stub the tub drain into this box area, pour your floor back(of course not in the boxed out area. Then when you...

1. Where is the trickling water coming from? Leaking toilet? Dripping faucet? Find out and repair.
2. Make sure your pipe coming from the pump is not against any ductwork, other pipes, or floor...

kind of looks like a 1x1x3/4 tee to me with a piece of 3/4 copper in it
-
I suggest you call the pump manufacturers and see what they recommend. Other good companies are Pro Series Pumps and Zoeller.
-
You could also try lightly tapping on the ring to loosen up any corrosion. I have always had more luck using a strap wrench or just my hand to get it off because of the squeezing mentioned earlier. I...
-
Bypass your water softener! That must be your culprit. The resin is being released from the tank. You need a new softener.
-
Does it sound like the pipe itself rattling or something caught in the pipe banging around? This really bears further inspection. I suggest you pull your toilet to investigate further.
-
Make sure to clean as much sediment as you can off the bottom of the tank so the bottom element is not sitting in sediment. If you didn't do that before the bottom element is probably done for.
-
I reread this question and realized I was in a hurry yesterday and left and important part out of my response. I have only noticed that gurgling when you take the vent off a vertical toilet drain...
-
I completely agree with mygirlsdad and/or Milo. You obviously already have the pipe exposed so you might as well replace it rather than put a bandage on it and risk future problems.
-
Not to mention that if you turned the water off to the heater but not the gas and did not turn the temp down either the expanding water has no where to go unless you have a thermal expansion tank...
-
Back in the old days they used to install 3.5 inch cleanouts once in a while. I bet Tom remembers those! You may have to lead this one in.
-
In my experience the only problem with bringing the vent from the drain instead of the drain going to the vent (for toilets) is that you sometimes will end up with a gurgling sound on the toilet...

Some frost free sillcocks have a spring towards the inside end of the shaft. If you can shut the water off to it, take the shaft out, and see if there is a spring at the end of it. If so, spray with...
-
You get up to 1500 dollars back. Up to 30% of your cost of installing the heater. The heater has to be a minimum of 90% efficient. And that tax credit is a max of 1500. If you already claimed for...
-
Most of the little units you are talking about have there own faucets. That would be the way to go. Those faucets are quite small and usually only require one small hole to be drilled in your sink or...
-
Are you positive that water is not leaking from the tank at one of the tank to bowl bolts? I find that a lot. Especially if anyone leans back on the tank when sitting on the throne. What about from...
-
I am confused with number one. You say you can physically connect a 3 inch drain line and then you say it is too small to do so? Perhaps what you have there is a hub for 2 inch cast iron.
If your...

Unfortunately, I have had the same complaint with a Delta Kitchen Faucet with the pull out spout. Are all these hoses made in China? I would love to blame it on them! Chinese Dogfood, drywall, and...
-
I am not aware of any toilets with a 25" seat height. The raised seat option must be a b**ch to keep clean. If there are toilets with this kind of height I would be interested in knowing what models...
-
You could also search Navien. I believe their heaters can have a recirc line. Check out the flow rates though. At 90 degree rise the flow rates are not very good. One fixture at a time would be...
-
Tankless water heaters are great in the correct applications. You need to make sure your gas pipe is sized correctly to provide enough gas for the BTUs a tankless uses. There are even cases where the...
-
It is a bit unclear to me also, but it sounds like you have a floor drain that goes into a sump basket and then that gets pumped into your sewer line and that pump is not working. If it is only a...
-
Its probably just expansion and contraction of the pipe and its rubbing against a structural member of the house. Nothing to worry about most likely.
-
Are the tub and shower separate units?
-
You could just put an expandable mechanical plug in the hub and sleep easy with no worries
