In theory this can be done but it would cast a huge amount of money (far more than the gold would be worth), and the gold would be highly radioactive so wouldn't be useful - unless you wanted a pair...

Is there a second power lead to the MOBO that needs plugging in to power the CPU?

Or re-seat the cpu by taking it out and putting it back in again, could be a MOBO problem if this does not fix it
