My dad always used to take his to the sharpening place, but there aren't any near where I live now. Does anyone do this themselves? What would I use--a file?

I have a Hunter ceiling fan. Always used the remote to turn fan on and off but my son disconnected the wires inside the remote and now I can not turn the fan on with the pull chain. The remote also...

I can't figure out how to disconnect the drain line. It looks like it will screw off, but when I turn it, it seems like the whole thing is going to break. I think it's bonded with some kind of...

There's one maybe two copper lines that run into it too. They are wrapped in black insulation. (to the left of the pvc in the photos) How could I get to the bottom of this thing? I wish I could...

Woops! Wrong pics! I couldn't figure out how to edit them...

I can't get to the left side or top of the coil. The left side of my furnace is blocked in by a duct. Here's a couple pics...
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for your response!
So -- from what I described, it's sounds like the coil is clogged?

I think the coil is clogged on my furnace. I am thinking this because of two main reasons:
1. I'm trying to run the A/C and there's nothing coming out of the vents, but the fan is running on...

This will be my last post. I came to this site because I wanted to see if I could fix my toilet on my own without paying a plumber -- bad idea (I got good advice on the toilet -- just... well, look...

[QUOTE=ScottGem]Not necessarily. With your suggestion there are significant risk factors with mine there is none. QUOTE]

It costs the individual the oppurtunity of participating in the market. If historical statistics mean anything -- as long as we're working with ten years plus -- there will be more on the bottom...

You could roll it over -- and wait until you're 70 1/2...

I'm pretty sure that it's only for IRAs and you have to be over 70 1/2 -- when you have to start taking RMDs. It's up to 100k/yr.
If you contribute a lot, you won't be able to deduct it all...

I personally think that if retirement or financial independence is a goal for you, a home equity loan would be a better strategy -- especially if you are in a higher tax bracket -- for two reasons.

What is your background? Just curious (not sharpshootin 'ya!)

Since it was cracked on top and bottom, I bought a repair kit that was a ring rather than two half moons. Supposedly you just screw it into the concrete on top of the old flange with Tapcons. I...

Do you have any equity in your home?

The toilet rocks when I tightened it all the way down.

Would a flange extender work since the flange sits below the floor surface?

It is cracked on the top and the botttom, as well as one of the sides where the bolt goes. Will these still work?

Check to see if you're company's plan allows in-service distributions.

The bolts rusted, and broke on my toilet -- so it slid around and broke the seal. I went to the hardware store to buy a wax ring, and ended up with a rubber boot that said it was "easier and less...
