So... would this light coming on cause my car to fail inspection?
-
Wow, 7 months later and I get a response to this?? Lol
I have already removed and replaced the sensor. No problem with the threads.
But... in case anyone knows, I do have a problem with this new...

Thx, grease, but does anyone else have any thoughts on whether I installed the wrong part, as far as not having same # of holes in tip sleeve?
Also, I was surprised that didn't have to disconnect...
-
So, what about the first part of my question... was connecting Green wire to the Blue wire correct? And does the number of holes in the sleeve at the tip make any difference?
Thx.

So, you believe that filing (cleaning) the connector pins will stop the sensor from coming on when engine is cold??

Hi.
I have a 1995 Honda Civic LX, with about 120, 000 miles on it.
I was experiencing somewhat lower gas mileage and some loss of power (especially on hills) for a while, when my 'Check Engine'...

Just a final reply on this thread... thank you txgreasemonkey (and others) for your help. With the PB Blaster and following your process, the sensor came out fairly easily. Although I tend to be...
-
Thx,
I used Sea Foam Deep Creep. Is PB Blaster a whole lot better? If so, will that also work mixing in with gas to clean carburator gum out?

Hi.
Trying to remove a Oxygen Sensor from a 95 Honda Civic.
Is in a darn bad spot! Have about 6 inches max to maneuver... and cannot get darn thing loose (118,000 miles on car).
Tried putting a...

Ok, thanks for your help.

Thx.
Where can I find this socket, will places like AutoZone have it?

Hi.
Have decided to replace my Oxygen sensor, but am having a problem getting the old sensor out. (I already have the new sensor).
Is very tight space. I am thinking that may be best way to break...
-
Yeah, I hear you.
I do think it is kind of cheap to remove all your comments from a forum, when you are one of the people who are supposed to be the 'expert help' , just because someone is having a...

Hi.
I was in a discussion with txgreasemonkey about 'Honda Check Engine Light', and now all his responses are gone. Why?? Did I do something wrong??
Bob
-
Can someone tell me what happened to all the replies I had from GreaseMonkey??
-
I don't understand your attitude. I hope you don't think I am trying to be wise. I am not. I asked a serious question about the connector, as to whether 4 wires going into the connector and 4 wires...
-
Geez... I do appreciate your help, but don't understand your answer.
The closest connector to the sensor is a 4 wire connector... hmmmm, maybe a 4 wire in - out connector is a '8 pin connector'?...
-
Hi.
Got a chance to re-look under hood.
I do see a device looking like a spark plug going into the very beginning of the exhaust pipe.
If this is what you are referring to, it is 4 wires coming...
-
Did a check under the hood, and see 1 8 pin connector near the distributor, but cannot get it to disconnect. Is this it, and is there a trick to getting it apart?
BTW, what does this do...
-
Hi.
Checked my error codes today via pin in the connector. I got a 41 (primary oxygen sensor heater
?? ) What is this part? Does it make sense with my other descriptions? Note that I have been...

Hi.
Was driving my 95 Honda Civic LX (115000 miles) to work this morning when the Check Engine light came on.
Car was not overheating, no obvious problem, oil level fine. Ran all day with no...
-
Hi.
Is Tesumcuh(spelling?) engine.
Ok, I took carb off and apart and sprayed with cleaner...
But piece fell out and not sure where it goes.
Suspect it is a needle valve? Small part with pointed...

Hi.
I have a small Murray Ultra 5 HP, 22" snowblower.
I have been a bad boy and have not taken care of it very well, no fuel stabilizer over summer, etc.
The problem now, after about 3 years, is...

Since water that was seeping up was mainly clear, don't think it was coming back up from our community sewer line... and is late October here so AC has not been on in last 3-4 weeks, don't think it...

Sorry Speedball, but I do not understand your response to my question of where all the water was coming from.
So, could it be the R.O. unit?
Bob
-
Ok, thanks for your help.
I did what Speedball said, and as soon as the snake was in... about 8 feet, water stopped coming out.
I did not look forward to pulling the snake back out!! :D
But I...
-
OK, understand speedball. But what about the source of all the water?
-
Thanks Speedball, will try that, but are you saying about 2 gallons of hot water after? And why not just turn tub faucet on for it?
Also, where the heck is all this water coming from - I mean...
-
Hi.
New to forum, maybe someone can help me.
I have noticed that my tub drainage has been slowing down again. Just had cleaned it (using a plastic piece with hooks that got through mail, worked...
