Also its pretty simple- push the needle up from the inside of your belly button, not from the outside.

I did it myself- it hurt but a nose piercing hurt more, seeing as I have 25 piercings, the most painful was nipple, second was nose, and then the belly button-its not bad just don't do it crooked!
