I can only tell my experience... I have used HQ 4% for 4 years and I had no side effects. No skin darkening. No skin thinning.
I don't have cancer either lol I think its only dangerous if you use...
-
Don't use a peel on your lips lol omg that is scary!! The skin there is so thin and delicate. You will end up looking like you have a disease on your lips lol
Just using what ever skin lightener...
-
I have used mono for 2 months so far and no major side effects (I did get a couple of small white patches on the sides of my face about pea sized) some dryness but I used moisturizer after. I only...
-
2% seems like such a weak product lol I learned that many years ago that it just doesn't do anything. I hope it works for you but I highly doubt it.
-
Definitely NO. your skin will burn if you use them all. If you are going to use a peel, wait a week before using retin a
-
Don't bother buying it, doesn't even work.

What you have is melasma:
"Melasma is a dark skin discoloration that appears on sun-exposed areas of the face. Melasma doesn't cause any other symptoms besides skin discoloration but may be of...

Try exfoliating your knuckles with glycolic peel before applying any creams so that it absorbs better.
-
Its good but I am curious what the active ingredient is?
-
There's no such thing as benzylarbutin.
-
I am using mono and its definitely not for the faint of heart lol I never mixed anything I just bought it as is ready made. Anyway you will need to be careful and watch your skin daily. I keep a...
-
Im sorry to hear that, I know how it feels to not be happy with your appearance. But trust me its never as bad as we think, try to think positive and be self confident and the girls will notice no...

@Anabrand NeoStrata HQ Skin Lightening Gel only has 2% HQ and its expensive at $40. You can go to walmart and buy a skin lightener with 2% HQ easily!
-
Why do you not want to use creams?
-
The skin on your neck is thicker and will take more time to lighten. It may be that you need something stronger? Also be careful with chemical peels on your neck because if its too strong it will...
-
I hate stretch marks and I have tried everything to get rid of mine but its impossible. No cream will do it but maybe laser treatment because that will go much deeper in the skin then creams.
-
Chemical peels are not skin lighteners, they exfoliate the skin and can brighten the skin a little. I never tried melederm before so I can't comment on that. The most effective skin lightener is HQ.
-
There are also some good moisturizers that keep your skin matte... I think garnier has one and maybe neutrogena as well.
-
This is hard for me too and definitely is hard not to get a tan while in the car. Even with tinted windows it doesn't help. Try to wear long sleeves and use the sun visor on your car to adjust it to...

This thread is like a soap opera, I can't help but keep it alive :D
-
That sounds really interesting happy! Thanks for the info.

Hi Maharani, sorry I didn't realize there was a limit to PMs. I have since deleted them so feel free to contact me :)
-
I had to Google where chennai is lol But its in India and I am sure there are many skin lighteners available there. Pick which ever one has the best record there and use retin-a with it.
-
Maybe try exfoliating them with a salt scrub or glycolic acid peel.
-
Here is a basic face mask for oily skin:
2 tsp. kaolin clay
2 tsp. aloe vera gel
2 tbsp. rose water and
1 tbsp. rose oil
Add kaolin clay to a mixing bowl, add the aloe, rose water and rose...

Salicylic acid is amazing! Any cream that contains it will help fight acne and you can also buy SA peels :)
-
There is no such thing as BA... they are clever though to create something out of nothing and have everyone believe it. Stick to agents that have a good track record and have shown results in...
-
I have never heard of it. Clueless you have one good memory :P
-
0.2% HQ is nothing, so I doubt you will see any difference at all. If you stop using any products that contain HQ it will result in your skin getting a little bit darker but that usually doesn't last...
-
There is no scientific research that indicated HQ causes cancer. As long as you are not using it for years and years at very high concentrations, you should be find. There are other options too -...
-
AHA does tingle the skin especially glycolic acid but it should only last a few minutes. Try not too apply too much otherwise you will wake up with red skin.
-
Shade, I am using the same thing Neutrogena SPF 70 :) It protects my skin but I find if I stay out in the sun too long I get darker.
-
Yeah you need to use sunblock at all times. Mono is suppose to depig permanently but your skin can sometimes repigment which means that you will need to maintain the results.
-
Well mono depigments your entire body eventually so the patches will go away after you fully depigment. It is a risk to take and I understand that... I have done my research.
-
Yeah there is a lot of stigma when it comes to skin lightening and depigmenting when you don't have a visible disfigurement.
They don't understand how emotionally damaging it is to have...
-
Lol those photos made me laugh... like seriously. It's the same photo but they edited the hair style (copy and paste) then they changed color of skin with photoshop LOL :P Shame on them!
-
Im not sure how you would go about doing that but test it out and keep track of any changes in the cream (if it goes brown or clumpy). I tend to not like mixing creams to begin with because I don't...
-
Never heard of it but I did a little searching and it says that it contains:
Vitamin E
Shea Butter
And "Imparts smoothness and brightness to a dull complexion"

To lighten the whole body just apply the product everywhere. It will probably take a really long time and get very expensive. Retin-a comes in a tiny tube so I doubt that can be used for the body lol...
-
HQ will need propylene glycol to dissolve and you can either add it to an already made lotion or try to make your own from scratch using all the ingredients (which you have to buy separately.) Also,...
-
Its not that harmful but it depends on how sensitive your skin is because it can cause irritation.
-
Just read the posts here, you will become very knowledable about most of the skin lighteners available. What have you used so far?
-
Looks like hyperpigmentation and everything your currently doing is great. You need to start using a product that will lighten the skin. You could try something with alpha arbutin or hydroquinone and...
-
Lol That's funny!
The other thing I noticed is that when looking at old photos of myself I have lightened quite a bit. But everyday I keep thinking I am not getting results, when all I need to do...
-
That is an interesting review and I agree that we need more honest opinions on what products actually work. The only way that will happen is if we all keep track of our progress and share it with...
-
The only reason you got darker when you stopped using the cream is because of sun exposure. Without it your skin doesn't produce more melanin then you naturally had to begin with. Try to stay out of...
-
Thanks for your concern Nickol. I understand the risks and have done my research. If I get side effects such as patches I will probably stop using it. But for now I am using it sparingly.
-
Do not try to buy mono from an individual person, get it from a pharmacy or a chemical company.
Sellers here may end up sending you a regular moisturizer and you wouldn't know the difference lol
-
I ordered it knowing the side effects and have done my research. But I don't like the fact that you are misleading others about it and saying that they will not get patches if they buy it already...
-
I doubt anyone who is licensed has time to be in this forum trying to sell that hard lol
