You can try removing one of the hinge pins and on a hard surface slightly bend it with a hammer then reinstall it. The pin friction should stop it from moving.

Plastic poly is a better vapor barrier. I've never heard of 1/8th inch between tub and wall. There should be some space between tub and cement board. Say 1/8th inch for caulking.

I have a similar problem with my hands. It only happens when I overwork them. Try cutting back on your exercising and see if it helps. It sounds to me like some tendons are inflamed causing numbness....
