I am in a long distance relationship for almost 2 months. It is over 5000 miles distance. I met the guy 12 years ago and was love at first sight. I was married then with a 2 years old and being a foreigner and he was going through a hard time so we just let go. We had an affair but it meant to both of us more than just an affair. He did try to stay away but every 2-3 weeks he found himself looking for me again. I never drove him away but after seeing each other he just vanished and I did not look for him. At some point he came to my door but my husband was already there and even if my marriage did not work, I decided for my daughter it was better to keep the marriage and go back to my country. After meeting my husband, he stopped looking for me for a while, then we accidentally met and he said that if he could not have me, at least to meet him to talk once more. I agrred, he cam at my work, the secretary told him to wait for some half an hour but he left and we did not meet. I left his country and few months ago saw him on Facebook. He was married and picturd with his wife. I sent him a friend request, because I just wanted to keep contact at least as friends. He messaged me back, asking me to call him. I told him I was not in his country, I was home and he told me he was actually in a divorce, that he never married until the previous year and that he wants me back and never want us to separate again. I told him that I will have to wait 3 years until I can divorce and come to him. He isalso being sent in Afghanistan next year so we agrred to keep it long distance and make it work. He separated from his wife and moved to a new place. I am going to visit him in couple of months on his birthday and we keep in touch by phone and Facebook. I know that first weeks we talked and texted almost all day and it was the moment of the beginning but after that he started talking very little. He wrote me about his life few messages and said he will write more next day. Next day I got a message but not about him, it was a dozen time written -I love you-, that was all message, the whole scrren filled up with I love you. Then he started to write very little. He writes me now once in 3-4 days, asking me to trust him, telling me that he loves me and that he is missing me more each day. I try to be the one doing the talking, I ask him opinion and advce, which he answers back but he never talks anything about himself. He just tells me that he loves me and that is all the message for next 3-4 days. I write him on Facebook and I see he reads the messages but does not answer to them. He does no other activity on Facebook, he reads my messages early in the morning or late at night, and that is all. What can I make of that? I feel that he either has a hard time and going through something that he does not want to talk to me aboutor just does not want to communicate with me. I, myself am tired sometimes as I feel I talk by myself. I asked him about a month ago, when he first did not talk to me for about 3 days if he was OK and I stopped writing him myself. He texted me after 3 days asking what was wrong with me... Really, what can I make of that? How should I behave? What is his message?
