    Who is rhoda means
    I have a girl friend in Ghana Africa who says that she needs $2,500 for a so called declaration fee before she is allowed to fly and be with me in the USA. I will send the money if I was sure that this was really the case. I have already given her quite a sum of money already. Its just that I have limited means and she seems to be honest but its hard to say that love can be so costly. Does anyone relate?

    I know, I used to get emails like that all the time. There are so many scammers in Africa, some of them are even trying to lure people on several dating sites.

    Ask her to send you, via fax or scan, a copy of this 'declaration fee' requirement.

    I am not one to stand in the way of love, but the cost of this relationship seems way out of whack, and very suspicious. You have already sent her money, now she wants more.

    Just what exactly has she needed all the money for?

    I'd say cool your jets, tell her you're broke, and can't send another dime.

    Turn the tables, don't send money, and see what happens.

    Are you crazy?? You don't send your hard earned money to any one.

    This scam has been around forever. Tell her your coming there to marry her, and can she meet you at the airport.

    Find a woman the old fashioned way, in person.

    I did a search on her name and found out it's a known scam. Go to www.delphifaq.com and put in her name. Sorry you've been had!
