What to do when you see your ex for the first time.
Ok I've been broken up with my ex for over 2 months (This was longer than a year relationship, and first one I consider serious I'm 20 she's 19). I haven't seen her since.. I was heartbroken and still am but I'm getting better (I think/hope). I msg'd her after 2 days saying I don't hate you lets just be at peace and she agreed.. Since that time she has msgd me saying she misses me and has called me drunk a couple times crying, if I message back I never say I miss you too I just keep it short and tell her to stay safe etc etc.. (she is the one that broke up with me by the way). Anyway the last time she msg'd was a few weeks ago and I didn't reply so maybe she will stop now...

I'm still pretty hung up on this girl I don't go on her myspace or anything because even seeing a photo of her upsets me. But to the point of my question We live close together and go out to many of the same places.. during this time I've been purposely trying to avoid these places.. But I know a meeting is bound to happen... So I just want advice on what to do when I do see her for the first time...

She is very outgoing and would more than likely try and come speak to me if she sees me... She doesn't have a new boyfriend (that I know of) but has been with other guys as I have girls.. So should I just
A: ignore her and walk away
B: try and hide and not let her see me
C: sit with a group of my mates that can't stand her so she would probably not come up to me if was around them
D: acknowledge her, keep the talk short and if she keeps trying to talk more just politley tell her I have to go.
    E. let her talk about wateva she wants and here her out..
    F. something else I haven't mentioned

Also what should I do if she tried to hug me or kiss me etc etc...

    Regards Jim.

I think it depends on how well you healed and how the relationship ended.

Friendly and polite is the way I look at it, and brief if necessary. If you still harbor bad feelings, then hello and good bye, is a lot better than dredging up old arguments.

Never be rude to someone you don't have to be. No mixed signals, though.

This will be much easier when you finally start your next dating adventure. I promise. Til then, just be nice.

I wasn't trying to make anything to work.. it was just my reaction... Its so bad... every time I bump into her I'm drunk... then we talk... then we end up having sex... I really wanted to say no but it was the end of the night and I hadn't had any luck with any other chicks and she was looking smokin hot.. Now I'm just back there all hung up on her again :( grrrrr

You shouldn't let her ruin your life. That means you shouldn't stop going to places you love to go to just because she might be there. Also, if you are hung up on this girl, don't contact her or speak to her and let time heal your broken heart. If you do bump into her, a polite hello should be enough and than continue on what you are doing.

That was fast! Well, more or less the same thing happened to me ( sex with ex ) and then we have the same group of friends. Luckily I got mostly over her, but when she came to my friend's reunion I was quite pissed as I remembered everything she did to me.

Well I just called her, told her she needs to say sorry and that we should have a chat. Now everything is almost good and I don't have too much problem even if she is here.

I'm just casual without trying to get too near to her. Be polite, but brief and cold if necessary and if she does call just say you're busy or don't answer. You need to heal and take some time alone.

Also. Why the hell would you go out and try to get a girl in your bed? Isn't your time to heal? I know you're young but you'll have plenty of time for that WHEN you will feel much better. You are just using other girls to fill in the void.
