My boyfriend and I broke up yesterday... He has a company, and me going into this relationship I knew that there would be an opportunity where he would be asked to be out of town, and I knew he would take it. Which is what I want for him to do, because he wants to expand his company.

Last night he told me he would be out of town for 6 months and he does not want me to be dragged along and he can’t deal with long distance relationship, because they don’t work out. I’ve told him that I want to give it a try, because I could do it, but he just doesn’t want to reconsider.

He asked to be friends and said “he would like to see me when he gets back". What can I do for this to work? And is this worth breaking up? Should I consider being friend with him for now? Help!!

It sounds like her really doesn't want to try very hard for your relationship because if he doesn't want even try long distance or bringing you with on the trip what I would do is basically try not to make a big deal of not being able to go once you ask him again to go long distance and if he doesn't want to try just put your relationship on hold and pick up where you left off once he gets back and if he just wants to be friends once he gets back just ask him if he still wants to get back together again

Thanks for your reply, but how long should I wait till I tell him I'm okay with being friends... How long till I keep contact.. I want him to miss me

I think since he isn't willing to take a chance you leave him alone until he does miss you, and lets you know he does. Until then, leave him alone and be good to yourself.
