Where to start, I've known my ex for about 5 years now we were friends through out all high school, he finally asked me out when I hit 12th grade we got along great, I could tell he loved me and he worried about me lots since I don't get along great with my parents, we never fought and I gave him his space when he needed it, I fell in love with him I don't know if he fell in love with me, he's a lot like me for not showing emotion he broke up with me because I was moving for a year for college, he told me that none of this was my fault because obviously I kept asking what I did wrong, he said that he didn't want to do a long distance relationship and that he wasn't ready for commitment and that his feelings just changed, he also said that he still cared about me as a friend, I found out a few days later from his friend's sister that he cried to his best friend the night he broke up with me, I haven't seen him or talked to him for about 4 months, the extent of me seeing him is him driving by, I talked to him once and he had no problem responding, he has also asked my friend about me the problem is I still love him and I don't know whether there's still a chance when I move back or whether I'm wasting my time being in pain

Doesnt sound like he wants to hurt you, just doesnt want to continue now that you are leaving. He has been honest.

Im sure this hurts him too, but take this message and move on to your next chapter.

We all have first loves. Concentrate on your studies and goals.

That's a start.

Yeah it hurts you both, but do your thing and see what the future brings. Don't add to his hurt, or yours, just look forward, not back.
