I have been with this man for 2yrs now and the past like 3 months have been hell.He constantly picks fights to do things to hurt me.. he has been cheating,and saying its because he thinks I am.. He puts me down about everything.. he punches me in the head hard,hits me in the mouth,twistes my arm an has spit in my face.. He even tells me to pay him back for food an things he buys me.. Im struggling and in my mind I want to believe he will change because I love him so much.. I know I should leave but how do I convince myself in his mind its apparently already over?And he always tells me he is sorry when he sees the bruises or I complain because I'm hurting from the beating he gave me.

You do realize that it's not going to get better, don't you? Loving him isn't going to set everything right. He is an abuser and will not change. Sure, after he does it he's sorry and will never do it again... until next time.

How do you convince yourself? I would think being punched in the head would be sufficient to convince most people... why don't you start with that? Leave him before it gets worse.

I can not believe you can even have any feelings but HATE, you call the police and get him put in jail, where he deserves.

He does not love you, he is not sorry or he would not do it.
