My guy and I have been dating almost 2 1/2 years. He seems
To be afraid of marriage as hev is twice divorced. We
Have talked about marriage but only when I initiate the
Subject. I will not bring it up again. So how do I break off this
Relationship without him feeling that I am giving
Him an ultimatim? We are both in our early 50's. I
Don't get why this is so difficult for him. I have tried
Twice to leavev the relationship and he insists that
He loves me and only me. What gives?

You simply tell him that you are looking for someone willing to marry you and since he wants no part of it, you will go separate ways. Make sure he knows that it's not an ultimatum, just that the two of you are looking for two different things and you need to go after what you're looking for.

You just break it off, as noted, tell him that you are wanting marriage and he does not, that you will need to find someone who does.
