Hi. Disclaimer: I'm the kind of girl who never likes breaking up with anyone. My last boyfriend was horrible (he cheated on me and borrowed 2k which he never gave back and he had horrid body odor) and I stayed with him for 2yrs and didn't want to let go. So I have poor judgment.

My current boyfriend is a nice guy. He sees me every day but I feel just a little bit that he couldn't care as much as I want him to. Why?


1. When I tell him things he sometimes doesn't listen but when his friends tell him things he listens so attentively
2. When we argue, like about how he sometimes can be insensitive about how I'm insecure (he lied to me in the past like ten times but not about other girls.. he has never cheated), we get into heated arguments and I've cried and he just keeps on being angry. I've sworn to never cry in front of him again because I feel like he just doesn't care.
3. I graduated and worked in a different city prior to this and now I'm on a break looking for a job and told him I may consider going back there and he just seems fine with it. Yes it's good but I expected him to be sad like how he gets sad when his bros and friends find jobs in other cities.
3. Sometimes he skips on the little things. Like how I've told him to not smoke in front of me because I've asthma but he still does and apologizes when I start coughing but keeps on doing it each time.. Or how he's stopped walking me in unlike before, doesn't call me beautiful unless I ask even though I take hours to get ready for him. How he just doesn't remember things I tell him. Stuff like that.

And I genuinely do not know if I'm just too insecure and that this is normal or that my senses are right and that I can do so much better. I honestly do not know. I've never made right judgments in the past so I don't know. Help.

By the way, I'm not 14, I'm 24 I am also not illiterate. I'm using my smartphone to type all this so the spelling is all over the place because it's just tough. Sorry

You are insecure, critical, and demanding, but he isn't the guy for you in the first place. What do you need a boyfriend for since you get attached so easily and quickly?

A good relationship must have trust, honesty, respect, and a willingness to talk about anything. Your boyfriend is lacking in most of the above!
I think you can do much, much better. There are plenty of people out there for you to meet. I would move on, and look for someone who treats you much, much better. I do wish you the best, and Happy New Year.
