Before everyone jumps to the 'controlling boyfriend' page, here's some background on the situation. My boyfriend and I have been together a year and four months, and besides him, I really don't have that many friends that I hang out with. I turned twenty one at the end of march (my boyfriend is twenty four) and at first, I wasn't all into the bar scene. Whenever I got an invite to go out, I would turn it down and tell my boyfriend. Even when it wasn't an invite to drink, I would still turn it down but when I told my boyfriend I wasn't going to go, he calmly explained how I needed my friend time and blah blah blah. Anyway, now that I am going out more frequently (both to the bar and general hanging out) he's getting mad at me that I'm leaving! We've talked about it several times but he still gets mad about me going out with my friends or asks if I want him to go with me.

I don't understand the mixed signals he's sending me! Any insight? I'm so sick of fighting all the time.

Well you ever hear the saying ''You don't know what you have until its gone.'' It seems like he didn't think much of having you all to himself ,but now since you've started going out he realized what he had. ORRRR You said he would invite you to go with him. He could just want to go out with you ,but now your more interested in going out with everyone else.
