How long until I can hang out with him?
I met this guy about a year ago who works with my mom. He asked to be set up with me a few months ago but I was with my exboyfriend. He had gotten back together with his ex and tried patching things up with her by asking her to move in and be engaged. It didn't work out. I've now been single for six months and he just became single last week and has moved out of their place. Dating him is out of the question for now it's too soon. But I want to get to know him. How soon can I invite him out?

Well, it depends on your age. If your like me and in middle school hang out with him about 1/3 of the time. Build off that.

Give him a little room. Everyone moves on differently and at different paces, small talk would probably be best for now, until you know for sure he's completely over his ex. Small talk, onto small dates, eventually onto dates and if things work out there could be a relationship.

Take it slow, getting into a guys life quickly after he's out of a relationship risks being the victim of the "rebound".

The time frame in which you can move is solely based on his effectiveness at moving on from his ex.
