What does it mean when you consistently have bad dreams about your boyfriend ?
I've been with my boyfriend for 2 years & he is a wonderful person. Our relationship has naturally had some ups and downs but for the most part we are very happy & compatible. Yet for some reason, even since the very beginning of our relationship, I have consistently had horrible dreams about him. Dreams of betrayal, accusations, jealousy, abandonment, rage & neglect. In all my dreams he hurts me in some way or another & it's always a different dream. I have them at least twice a week. What is the reason for this & can I stop it? I'm tired of having such negative underlining thoughts about him. Comments anyone?

Some info on the ups, and downs please, and maybe along with your ages some history of the relationship, how you met, and some past relationship history would help with the comments you want.

Maybe its because you are afraid that he might leave you? Since all your dreams have the theme of he eventually hurts you, it could be possible you have slight trust issues regarding your boyfriend? I'd say talk to him about this and he will reassure you nothing like that will never happen, this in my thoughts should stop the negative dreams.

Try to go to bed calmly, dreams normally come from things that you see as you are falling asleep. If you are falling asleep with a horror movie on it is more likely that you will have a nightmare for example. Clear your thoughts at night, go running, take a nice shower, read a nice book. Listen to some relaxing music as you fall asleep, that might help. But if it doesn't, don't freak out, dreams are just dreams, they mean nothing.
