    My boyfriend's best friend?
    My boyfriend's best friends use to be in love with me but we never had a relationship. He is coming to visit from out of state for New Years Eve. My boyfriend is choosing to hang out with him because he feels it will be uncomfortable for us to hang out all together. Is this reasonable or is he telling me "my friendship is more important than our relationship?"

    You're always around, whereas your bf's best friend is making a special trip into your state for New Year's Eve.

    He's telling you that his best friend will be in his life on New Year's Eve. You get him the rest of the year.

    That's reasonable. Everyone needs a little time alone with their friends. You can find a time to hang out with him.
