    How to break up with my boyfriend after 2 years?
    I've been with my boyfriend for 2 years now and things are nothing like they used to be. We've tried and tried but I just don't feel the same anymore. How do I end our relationship without breaking his heart?

    There is no nice, easy way to do this. Tell him in plain English that it's over, and don't ask to remain friends. Do No Contact; stay out of his life. Don't play games.

    Easier said that done lol oh boy... he's not going to give up on me just like that. What do I do when he calls me, emails me, texts me, shows up at my place or work?? Do I just pretend he doesn't exist? After all we've been through?

    Yup, that's what you will have to do. When you do the break-up talk, warn him that you are going "no contact." It's the only way to keep you both from having nervous breakdowns. Don't apologize or over-explain. Keep the break-up talk short and sweet, but make no promises of friendship or maybe a future. Get it over with -- clean and definite.

    It worked for me back in 1966.
