Birthday gift ideas after 1 year of dating
He's a grungy guy that loves video games and cartoons. I was thinking of getting him a fender but that might be too expensive? Help? Most past holidays (and in between) I've gotten him a lot of clothes so I can rule that out automatically. Thanks guys!

Ok here's my advice- all men love certain things (for example food, and even better when their girlfriend cooks them a special meal). My advice would be to cook him a nice dinner that include his favorite dishes (if you don't already know them, find out). Then, seeing as he loves some video games and cartoons, as opposed to watching a movie, why not watch some cartoons or game together? And then what I would do is get him something personal for a gift... sure anybody could buy him something like a video game, but you should make this more personal. I think a great birthday gift after dating for one year would be to do something like make him a scrapbook with pictures of you and him over the past year to show him how much he means to you, or just a nice frame with a picture of you and him in that he can put by his nightstand or some other place. I hope this helps!

I agree about doing a food theme.

Start with breakfast. Sausage, bacon, pancakes, homefries, beans, eggs, waffles. Then take him out for lunch- double burgers, large fries, coke. Then for dinner, prepare a nice meal of lasagna with extra meat.

If he golfs, clean his clubs. If he likes cars, get him a gift certificate for detailing, or an oil change. Buy a couple of tickets to a 'game' of some sort.

I'm only speaking from experience here, and if it didn't previously 'moo', he's not getting what he wants.
