    Breakup past is a haunting
    I need advice

I'll try to keep this short

Basically my boyfriend and I broke up about 5 months ago - mutally it just wasn't working out. We were going out for a year. I took the breakup fairly well - standard crying the first couple of days and then I was fine

I just found out he has a new girlfriend and for some reason I am really really upset. I'm not sure what it is. I know I don't want to get back together with him but for some reason I am really really sensitive about the whole situation.

What is going on ? Is this normal? Any adivice/suggestions on the situation would be much appreciated

I have a theory.. you didn't allow yourself to fully heal from the relationship/heartbreak.. honestly.. if I was with someone for a year (currently am) and we broke up.. my goodness I wouldn't be just fine after a couple days.. even if it wasn't working out..

My observation is that you occupied your mind and you stayed in denial this whole time.. I could be wrong.. but it seems to be the case since your obviously hurting that he's found someone.. you can't ignore your feelings they will ALWAYS find a way to your conscious state

I had a friend who dated this guy for 4 months and really connected with him and thought she loved him.. she saw that he had a drinking problem and dumped him.. and never allowed herself to heal she just went out a partied and 5 months later she ran into him.. and she felt horrible and was so depressed..

You are in essentially in the early stages of your healing (your heart) give yourself time to digest this loss and let yourself grieve.. it's not easy but it has to be done..

Its normal, as your ticked because you see him as moved on, but if it where you who had someone, then you might not be jealous, or feel bad, or even care.

Your time will come, if you focus in your own happiness, and not his.
