Is it normal to find uncanny cuteness in every tiny little thing your GF does?
I had a girlfriend years ago that I loved very much. I was with her for almost six years. The thing is, I'm not sure if it was a "normal" relationship, because I've never heard of anyone feeling the way I did. Allow me to explain.
Somewhere around the half-way point of the relationship (say, 3 years), I started becoming obsessed -- in a good way -- with every little thing she did. Like, I would just become delighted at the way she would do the most mundane things -- like close an envelope, or look around in a restaurant, or phrase something. And it wasn't every once in awhile. We're talking many, many times in a single day (if we spent it together). And then I'd usually have to hug her because I couldn't stand the cuteness.
Also, sometimes when I was alone I'd remember something she did, and write it down, so I could remind her and hug her the next time we were together.
Obviously I deeply loved this girl, but was this abnormal behavior even given that? I've never felt anything similar for subsequent girlfriends, although none of them lasted near as long.
Though I've never had a daughter, it's almost what I would imagine parents would feel towards their kids. Equivalent to an overwhelming tenderness and happiness at the creature's very existence.
Does anyone know what the hell I'm talking about?

I know how you feel man, about a year into my relationship with the ex, I started falling for her hard. From then on almost anything she did/said was absolutely adorable to me... its those things that I can look back on and smile about.
Then she broke my heart... its sad that someone that I cared so much for could do that to me... oh well, life goes on. And it makes me happy to hear that someone felt that way about someone other than my ex... this way I know that ill feel that way about someone again sometime.

Yep, unfortunately, and obsession is never a good thing even though it seems so affectionate and wonderful at the time.

Enjoying and liking the way she does things is great, writing them down and hugging her for the way she seals an envelope, that is scary

Well, to be fair, the envelope thing is an example of something I might notice in the moment, and wouldn't necessarily need to hug her for that. Stuff I'd write down would be a little more substantial.
But yeah, maybe it is still "scary" like you say. I'm sure it was at least a little irritating to her at some point.

Same here. I'm glad to hear someone else maybe felt similarly towards a completely different girl. I'm not so naïve to think this girl really was the cutest thing in the universe 24 hours a day, and that anyone who saw those things would have felt the same. I realize most of it was me projecting because I felt so strongly about her. So hopefully this means someday, I can find someone to feel as strongly for, and then she'll be the cutest thing ever.

I agree with that... I didn't think I was too obsessive.

Ok, I am a virgin and have never done anything more than kissing.. I am only 15.
I have kissed a person who is sexually active which is why I am worrying about this so much, that's was five months ago I would say. I was just browsing YouTube and stumbled across a herpes film. I got worried...
