I have been doing so well recently. I reached the 6 months NC mark. It has been 1 year since my ex ended our relationship.

Since Xmas I have been so much happier. Although I think about my ex a lot, my thought processes have shifted from wanting her back to being more annoyed with the way she acted. I was even starting to feel pretty ambivalent about her.

But for some reason over the past couple of days she has been constantly on my mind. I don't know what she is doing, if she is with anyone or anything like that. It is genuine NC! (Although I did notice her making a comment on a mutual friends my space cage but that is it!) I really do not know what she is doing, who she is seeing etc!

But I still keep thinking of her.

I suppose it is because I had started to be ambivalent and know that she isn't coming back or that if she does it won't be on the basis I want.

Is this just a normal part of the NC cycle!?

I think we are all going to have weak moments, just last week I was crying over her after 2 months of NC... it just all caught up with me after being so busy trying to get her off my mind. I haven't checked her Facebook in a little over a month, and yeah, I'm curious as well as to what she may be up to. But then I think that it doesn't matter, she isn't in my life anymore, doesn't matter.

Anyway, last week was kind of rough, but this weak has been going a lot better, just got to keep busy, keep doing the things you like. So yeah, I think this is just a phase that will pass... keep busy and keep NC.

It is for me. Holidays are the worst, even after it's been years. Sometimes something I see or smell will trigger a memory of her and I'll cry myself silly for a minute - even stuff that never bothered me before and is totally unrelated like seeing a sappy movie where a kid is stuck in a well or a puppy is in danger.

Yeah, I think it is part of the natural process of letting go and finding myself again. I was 80% there 2 weeks ago, now it is more like 60%!!
