Im going to go out on a limb and guess that you are probably falling in love with the type of guy who would be the type who might go to jail.

Make a list of everything you liked about the guys you dated in the past. Then make a list of everything you disliked. Compare the two lists and look for repeating themes. Make another list of your requirements in an ideal man. When you meet a new guy you like, check your list and see if he qualifies. Make sure you aren't dating anyone with a substanance abuse problem. That's asking for trouble. Also, if you hang out in good places, you are more likely to meet good people. For example, you have a better chance meeting a good guy at work or at a fundraiser, or church than you do meeting a good guy at a bar, etc. Get involved with community events. Volunteer for a community project, Habitat for Humanity, or something along those lines. Then you will meet new people with better values. Also, take some time to really get to know the person before it gets serious. If you see any warning signs, nip it in the bud. Everyone makes mistakes in relationships, you just have to learn from them and not make the same mistake twice. Hope this helps!
