My ex of about 2 months sent me a mix cd out of the blue. She sincerely told me she wanted to be "friends" before she left. Is she trying to be friends? Should I send a mix CD back like we did when we dated? I don't know if It will look clingy or not.

Oh and on another note she has a boyfriend has has pretty clearly moved on...
I need advice about what I should do in this situation.

Do you really want to be her friend right now? What does she want? You to go around and hang out with her and her new boyfriend? I don't think so.

In my opinion I wouldn't bother. I'd go about my own business and concentrate on myself. I think she is trying to see if she still has control on you. She'd like to know that if things don't work out with the new guy she can always fall back on you. Surely you don't want that do you??

I agree with Skell; sounds like she is toying with you a bit to make sure you are there if she wants you. The best thing you can do is move on, she has, and not worry about her. Do not send her anything back, it's not worth it. Good luck!

Do nothing she is toying with you may not be going that great with the ex. Funny you say that 4 years ago my first ex of 4 years sent me a cd 3 months after she broke up with me and she wrote me a letter saying this song reminds me of you. It waas some romatic crap about how she can't be without me and lost the love of her life. Then again she wa s seeing a new guy who she left me for at the time. I think they just likeyou on the back step just in case... Funny how they do that but most girls do crap like that they really don't know what they want,.

Ignore her. 9 times out of 10 it's darn near impossible to be friends with an ex. If she is in a relationship, she is probably playing head games with you like the others said. Don't acknowledge that you even received the CD.

There are plenty of women out there, don't sweat finding another one. You'll find one when you aren't looking and you least expect it.

Its nice to think that she really does care for you. But in reality its probably not the case. All the comments above make perfect sense to me. Keep on the high road and stay in NC. She has to learn she can't play with people and toy with their emotions!
